Previously, Backstreet Rookie was swept up in controversy for showing sexually suggestive material including a scene in which an underage student approaches an adult for cigarettes and ends up kissing him, a scene involving sex workers, a camera angle sweeping up from bottom of high school students dancing at karaoke, an explicit scene of a webtoon author taking a shower, a room with a nude female portrait, and a scene in which an author made moaning noises while drawing an 여성의 몸을 강조한 명백한 웹툰.

The process of conducting a statement of opinion involves calling a representative of the broadcasting company for the program in question to explain the reason for creating such a broadcast. This was decided by all five members of the deliberation committee.
